Configure the connection using your client's supported setup. Hand browser sign-in and permission approval to me; never request tokens or secrets in chat. Verify with check_readiness and list_research, then tell me whether the connection works and what, if anything, needs my attention. Do not start research, record updates, or open checkout during setup.

2. Authorize, then verify

Follow the browser link, sign in with your NoCrickets email, and review access. Ask your agent to check your credit balance and list your research. Setup never needs a purchase or a research run.

Manual setup and reconnect

Codex: add nocrickets with codex mcp add nocrickets --url https://nocrickets.com/mcp, then codex mcp login nocrickets.

Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http nocrickets --scope user https://nocrickets.com/mcp, then use /mcp to authenticate.

ChatGPT or another client: add https://nocrickets.com/mcp as a Streamable HTTP connection with browser OAuth, where your account supports custom connections.

To reconnect, use your client's authentication controls. If an action needs more permission and the browser does not open, reauthorize manually with that action's scope. Review each permission upgrade.

Agents can retain complete private reports. Revoking access cannot erase copies already delivered. Research starts only on your explicit request and consumes one applicable credit. Recording progress is free. Buying credits always requires you to review and pay in the browser.
